As musicmakers, we all know how our tracks should feel - making them sound that way, that's the hard part.

After hours tweaking compressors, swapping reverbs, and falling down every tips-and-tricks rabbit hole... your tracks still don't sound the way you hear them in your head.

WHY?

Because no one ever taught you how to think like the pros - and more importantly, how to learn like one.

20 YEARS OF LEARNING,

Refined and Condensed

Hi, I'm Yuri - a composer and producer with 20 years in the industry. I've scored big-brand ads, composed for award-winning films, crafted tracks with millions of streams, and mentored new producers who've gone on to do the same.

My biggest breakthrough as a producer came when I was just starting out at a major studio. My mentor (and boss at the time) gave me the best advice I've ever received:

“Take a song you love, and remake it. Recreate everything: the structure, the sounds, the effects, using only the tools you already have.”

So that's what I did, for years. I pulled songs I loved into Logic and rebuilt them from scratch, learning from the best by 'stealing' their techniques for my own tracks. Even after starting my own studio, I kept at it, always learning from the best in the business.

Through years of that process, I learned how to shape sounds, build textures, and develop the kind of production instinct that separates a professional track from everything else. Two decades of returning clients told me the approach was working
.

It's not some secret method. It's just knowing what to focus on and refining your skills through guided practice. And that's what I'll be teaching you in this course.

I'm a teacher at heart, and it's one of the greatest rewards of my work: helping the composers who've come through my studio level up, hone their craft, and in many cases build real careers doing what they love.

Here's what I believe: you don't need to spend more to make better music. You don't need another plugin, another synth, or the next shiny thing. You need skills, and a clear, hands-on way to build them with the tools you already have
.

The STEAL Method teaches you exactly that.

I Want These Skills
This is my 5-part framework for making your music sound polished, professional, and finished - using only Logic’s built-in tools.

Every section comes with lessons detailing STEAL techniques, 'Listen & Learn' sections where we take apart and analyse popular hit tracks and scores, complete with downloadable Logic projects.

“Good artists copy. Great artists steal”

Pablo Picasso

“If you think a man draws the type of hands that you want to draw, steal ‘em. Take those hands.”

- Jack Kirby

“Start copying what you love. Copy copy copy copy. At the end of the copy you will find your self.”

- Austin Kleon, Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative.

Is This Course For You?

This is for you if...

  • You can write a loop or hook you're genuinely excited about, but taking it further is where it falls apart: the track gets cluttered, or flat, or stops sounding like the records you're aiming for, and it ends up unfinished.

  • You'd rather learn from someone who does this professionally: tracks with real streams, film and TV scores, and a studio that has trained more than a dozen career producers.

  • You've spent on plugins, libraries and presets hoping the next purchase would close the gap, and found that it didn't.

  • You care about the craft. Shortcuts and quick fixes hold little interest for you, partly because you've already seen that they rarely hold up.

  • You want production to feel creative and fluid again, rather than a process you push through while hoping the result justifies it.

This isn't for you if...

  • You're new to Logic and still finding your way around the basics. The course assumes you can already get an idea down; it builds on that, rather than starting from zero.

  • You're looking for a plugin, preset pack, or piece of gear to fix your sound. The entire method runs on stock Logic, and the premise is the opposite one: skill over purchases.

  • You want a hands-off shortcut. The techniques are straightforward, but they ask you to listen, practise, and apply them to your own work.

  • You're after an exact recipe - this preset, these settings, this chain - for one specific genre. This teaches transferable skills that carry across styles and DAWs, not a single formula to copy.

 The Producer You'll Become

The most transformative stretch of my whole career was those first few months in a studio, learning from people who shared what they knew with real generosity. It made me the producer I am today... and it's the kind of experience I want to pass on to you.

Here's where you'll be when you've completed the course:

  • You'll open your session and know exactly how you can craft it, and trust the calls you make.
  • You'll take an idea from your head and carry it all the way to a polished, release-ready track.
  • You'll be using real production techniques on your own music, the same ones pros use, until they become second nature.

And the skills stick: keep working the method and you'll find the skills carry far beyond Logic, into hardware samplers, grooveboxes, analog gear, whatever you reach for.

Best of all, you'll be making tracks that sound the way you've always heard them in your head: emotive and polished, with your own sound.

What People Say About My Lessons

Simmy Lor

Yuri, as a person with minimal music production background, the way you broke down concepts of mixing, composition and opened my ears to listening out for details really helped me kickstart my journey with music production.
I especially liked how objective & generous you are when it comes to sharing your knowledge. All the things that I've learnt from you are truly valuable in my career now.

Nick Davis

I had very little experience with music production beyond some basic experimentation in Logic Pro. Under Yuri’s guidance, I gained hands on experience in music production, composition, arrangement, mixing, mastering, and even some video production and film scoring.
While the technical skills were invaluable, the lesson that stayed with me most was the philosophy behind the creative process. Before creating anything, Yuri would always ask: “Why are we doing this?” and “Who are we doing it for?” Those questions shaped the way I approach every creative project to this day. He taught me that successful creative work is not simply about personal preference, but about understanding the audience, the purpose, and the message behind the work.
What made Yuri’s teaching unique was that it came from real world experience. He didn’t just teach concepts from a textbook. He taught from years of practical work in the industry, making the lessons highly relatable and immediately applicable. The coaching, feedback, and shared experiences were something I could never have gained from watching tutorials alone.

When you talk about upgrading our skillset more than our tools, it really hit home. Was looking to buy a library but after hearing that, I'll just go and work w what i have. Thanks, incredibly helpful!

You cant imagine how helpful your videos are! what makes them even more helpful is the fact that you are only using stock plugins! us, beginner producers dont have that many fancy plugins so seeing you create something using only stock plugins is also very inspiring!

PathiosProductions

I appreciate what you’re doing! This helped me develop a method of creating better synths🫡

Yuri, just started binging your videos ... Sooo many gems and I really appreciate you putting the time in to give us such detailed breakdowns. Thank you so much!

Frequently Asked Questions

The gap is skill, not gear.

If your tracks aren't sounding the way you want, it's almost never the plugins or the library. It's lack of method, technique and skill. It's not yet knowing what a track needs at each stage, and how to give it. That's learnable, and it's the whole point of this course.

I'll be teaching the methods I use on every track I make. Over five weeks you'll take one of your own ideas and build it all the way up - levels, arrangement, enhancers, texture, space - until it sounds like the tracks you've always wanted it to sound like. You finish with a real, polished track, and a set of skills you can run on every song after it.

And these skills travel. They work in Logic, in any DAW, on any setup. Learn them once and they're yours for good.

I've spent 20 years doing this work, and a fair bit of it teaching and training. Everything I know about getting a track from demo to finished is in here. All you have to do is start.
